Fake™ is an awareness campaign that exposes the manipulations of reality in our society. The campaign uses guerilla advertising of stickers placed over existing products and advertisements to expose how they distort the truth for their own financial gain. The campaign consisted of two phases: the first phase was a teaser campaign that included diagonal stickers with only the word "fake", and the second phase included stickers that provided factual information and statistics as to how the images and products the stickers were placed over are manipulating. Both phases presented the public with a website (www.whatthefake.com) for more information. The website consists of pictures of fake stickers on products, factual information of images and products that manipulate reality and their effect on society, and downloadable posters and stickers so that people can continue the campaign themselves.
